Pointbid Logistics Systems commits to Birmingham with new lease deal

An e-fulfilment, third-party logistics and consolidated warehousing specialist has pledged its commitment to Birmingham by signing a new property deal.

Pointbid Logistics Systems has secured a new ten-year lease on its headquarters in Witton with The Local Authorities Mutual Investment Trust.

The business has been based at Junction Six Industrial Park near the M6 since 2016 as sub-tenant of pipeline and heating group BSS.

It provides supply chain services to clients such as Royal Mail Warehousing, USA Giant Fulfilment and Fitbit among others.

Roy Cook, managing director of Pointbid Logistics Systems, said: “The property has served us very well to date and we are confident that the central location will assist us to continue to provide fulfilment excellence in service to our client base for many years to come.”

Birmingham-based commercial property consultancy Darby Keye Property acted for Pointbid Logistics Systems on the deal.

Director Chris Keye said “Pointbid Logistics Systems have thrived in their current environment and it therefore made perfect sense for them to commit to a longer period of occupation in Aston.”

Ged Williams, CCLA fund manager for the site’s landlord Local Authorities’ Property Fund, said: “We are delighted to have retained Pointbid and this letting demonstrates the ongoing demand for well located distribution space at a time of uncertainty in the market.

“This asset illustrates our focus on core locations that offer long-term performance to our portfolio.”

Other advisers on the deal were MK2 Real Estate and Bowyer Bryce Chartered Surveyors.
