Police arrested four suspects after trouble broke out following Manchester United’s dramatic injury time victory over West Ham at Old Trafford today (January 22).
Officers are said to have clashed with some supporters of the London club moments after United striker Marcus Rashford scored the winner in injury time with virtually the last kick of the game.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed officers have arrested four supporters, including one for throwing missiles and another for assaulting an emergency worker.

Two others were also detained.
The statement from GMP said: “Four arrests were made and they all remain in custody: A 21-year-old man on suspicion of drunk and disorderly behaviour, possession of cocaine, and common assault; a 23-year-old man on suspicion of a public order offence; a 22-year-old man on suspicion of throwing missiles; a 33-year-old man on suspicion of assault of an emergency worker.

“Two other men were detained and will be summonsed at a later date for football-related offences.”
West Ham has also reportedly started its own investigation into the trouble.
