Police come away with drugs haul after pulling over car on Stoke-on-Trent street

Police have seized cannabis, cocaine and cash – after stopping a car on a city street. Officers pulled over the car on Trent Vale’s Keelings Drive.

And that stop resulted in a property being searched. Following the sting, which unfolded on February 8, officers arrested a 20-year-old man, from Stoke-on-Trent.

The car was stopped on the residential street – between London Road and the A34 – at 9.10pm. A spokesperson for Staffordshire Police said: “They found cannabis, cash and a mobile phone.

“They then went to an address in the town where they seized cocaine, cannabis and cash.”

The 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a controlled drug of class B (cannabis). A spokesperson added: “He has been released under investigation while our enquiries continue.”

Witnesses should call 101 and quote incident 654 of February 8.
