Police hunt city knifeman after serious stabbing outside Post Office

Police continue to hunt a knifeman after a stabbing outside a Post Office in Birmingham. The middle-aged victim was rushed to hospital in a serious condition.

The knife attack happened on Wellington Road, Perry Barr, shortly after 1pm, on Thursday, March 7. A slip road outside the Post Office was cordoned off as police investigated the incident.

West Midlands Police said the victim’s condition has since improved and is no longer considered to be in a life-threatening or life-changing state. Officers are checking CCTV in the area and identifying potential witnesses.
