A post trolley was found dumped upside down in the New Forest after being stolen from a nearby town.

Police responded to a call-out last Friday by a member of the public, reporting the Royal Mail trolley’s discovery in Ringwood.

Investigations established it had been taken from New Milton with mail items still inside.

Asked by the A&T to comment on the theft and how it could be sure all post had been recovered, Royal Mail declined on the grounds investigations were ongoing.
