Police remain at the scene of a Co Down harbour after a woman’s body was recovered from the water this morning.
Emergency services attended Groomsport Harbour at around 10.35am this morning, Tuesday, February 18, and removed the body of a woman from the water.
Officers remain at the scene and have confirmed the death is not being treated as suspicious.

Local councillor, David Chambers, issued an appeal on social media calling for the public to stay away from the scene. He said: “I’m aware of an ongoing incident at Groomsport Harbour.
“I would ask members of the public to stay away while emergency services attend the scene. Thank you.”
A spokesperson for the PSNI said: “Police along with partner agencies attended Groomsport shortly after 10.35 am this morning, Tuesday, 18th February and removed the body of a woman from the water. Officers remain at the scene and at this time the death is not being treated as suspicious.”
