Police warn of new ‘Royal Mail’ scam

THAMES Valley Police has warned of a new Royal Mail scam.

In the latest fraud, criminals are sending text messages out of the blue pretending to be from the postal delivery company.

The message says: “Your package has a £2.99 unpaid delivery fee, to pay please visit delivery-helpdesk.com or your package will be returned.”

In an alert, PCSO Ahmed Mohamed, who is based in Cowley, warned people not to click on the link.
