Positive Solutions and Charac announce exclusive strategic partnership

Strategic partnership set to support community pharmacy and focused on transforming patient engagement through new integrated technology platform MyHealthHub

LONDON (14 September 2022) – Charac; an NHS-integrated one-stop platform for independent community pharmacies, together with Positive Solutions; part of the Mawdsleys Group and the fastest growing pharmacy IT provider in the UK, are pleased to announce today an exclusive strategic partnership.

This long-term partnership brings together Charac’s innovative approach to patient relationship management and Positive Solutions trusted expertise in digital solutions for pharmacy. With Positive Solutions’ Analyst PMR used daily by 16,000 pharmacy team members to process over 87 million scripts and 180 million items, the collaboration will help transform patient engagement and continue driving service business to pharmacies across the UK using a new innovative, integrative technology platform, MyHealthHub.

Bringing together the unique benefits of the Charac patient app, MyHealthHub will not only integrate with Analyst PMR, but also forms part of an entire new technology ecosystem from Positive Solutions, the Hx platform and will be entirely interoperable. MyHealthHub will give pharmacies a powerful and compelling tool to both help retain and attract new patients. The app will also allow the over 7,200 independent high street pharmacies which are lacking a digital footprint to compete with larger online pharmacies by providing them with an online presence.

Within the independent pharmacy sector, the MyHealthHub platform will be the first fully integrated PMR solution of its kind. This platform complements what pharmacists do within communities by enabling them to provide an appointment management system where they can have consultations via video or phone, and allow patients to re-order prescriptions via the app.

Both Positive Solutions (Stand C41) and Charac (Stand G40) will be exhibiting at the Pharmacy Show at the NEC Birmingham 16th-17th October. Here Positive Solutions will be showcasing not only MyHealthHub, but all five new products launching as part of their Hx Platform.

Commenting on the partnership, Santosh Sahu, Founder, Charac said: “We couldn’t be more delighted to partner with a provider of the standing, reputation, and quality of Positive Solutions. This long-term, exclusive relationship builds on the investment from Royal Mail and will accelerate the development of our solutions for community pharmacy and patients alike. Positive Solutions customers can expect an outstanding product which provides support on patient prescriptions and appointment booking while also offering a range of marketing packages to drive services business, as well as our Royal Mail delivery option to save money and improve patient experience.”

Steve Russell, Chief Commercial Officer at Positive Solutions at Positive Solutions added: “This is an exciting time to be working alongside Charac to guide community pharmacies through the significant challenges they are facing. The strength of our relationship is founded on our common desire to develop a true Patient Relationship Management platform and our vision for how technology can bring community and pharmacy closer together. We made the decision to partner with a specialist given the demand and urgency for a patient app from our customers and looked at all the key players, both domestically and internationally, over the last year. What stood out about Charac was their vision, innovation and dynamism coupled to the quality of their product and their people.”
