A post box has been stolen from its pole in a village.
It was taken from Station Road in Deeping St James sometime between Tuesday, October 15 and Wednesday, 16 October
Inspector Rachel Blackwell, neighbourhood policing inspector for Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings, said this was part of a series of thefts, including five others in the South Holland area.
A theft of another post box was witnessed in Deeping St Nicholas at about 7pm on October 15 after the caller reported two people in darkness were using a tool to grind the post on which the post box was mounted.
Inspector Blackwell added Lincolnshire Police are in contact with Royal Mail to look at increasing security measures and reducing the appeal of post boxes.
Anyone with information should call Lincolnshire Police on 101 and quote incident number 391 of October 16.
