‘POST’ CHRISTMAS BLUES FOR ROYAL MAIL WORKERS

ROYAL Mail workers in Mid-Ulster have been hit by the ‘Post’ Christmas blues through no fault of their own.

The Courier understands that Royal Mail workers in Dungannon, Cookstown and Magherafelt have been informed their overtime has been cut with immediate effect.

A Mid-Ulster Royal Mail employee contacted Cookstown UUP Councillor Trevor Wilson to say all overtime for staff throughout Mid-Ulster was being cut, leaving staff hurt and angered, particularly as they had worked tirelessly in the run-up to Christmas, which is Royal Mail’s busiest time of the year.

Full story in this week’s Mid-Ulster Courier.
