Post office branch closes today

The U.S. Postal Service has proposed to close Blackburn Post Office and transfer its services 13 miles away to Malta Bend Post Office. Cynthia Bolles, Manager of Post Office Operations, sent word to Malta Bend and Blackburn on Aug. 26 regarding the potential closure. More: continued here
