The U.S. Post Office in Chalan Kanoa was evacuated Saturday afternoon after a white powdery substance was found in one of the mailbags in the mailroom. The substance later tested negative for any biological or hazardous materials. More: continued here

The Big Bear Lake post office near the Village will be closed after hours until further notice because of two recent incidents of vandalism, according to Big Bear Lake postmaster Javier Fregoso.
