Isle of Man Post Office is looking to reassure customers following a vote for strike action from workers in the UK.

Earlier this week, Communication Workers Union (CWU) members in Britain voted majorly in favour of industrial action in a dispute with Royal Mail Group over job security and employment terms and conditions.

However, officials say the ballot only includes workers in Britain and does not involve the Manx postal service or its employees – adding it’s ‘business as usual’ at Royal Mail with mail being processed and delivered in the UK as normal.

The post office says it will continue to monitor the situation closely, and will be liaising with its account manager at Royal Mail on any further developments.
