Hurry up and get those letters written and sent to Santa, because the deadline to get a reply from Father Christmas is a week today (9 December).
Royal Mail puts on an annual ‘Write to Santa’ programme where you can send a letter in the post, and you will receive a reply from the big man himself.
It is a lovely activity to do with your kids to get them excited for Christmas, or just to keep them busy for a while!

There’s no feeling that can match the excitement of children around Christmas, and what better way to help build that excitement than for them to receive a letter from Father Christmas himself?
Anyone across the UK can send a letter to Santa, through the Royal Mail, and receive a reply back!
But how does it work? Well, you write a letter asking Santa what you want for Christmas, then sent it to this address: Santa/Father Christmas, Santa’s Grotto, Reindeerland, XM4 5HQ.
And as long as you post your letter by 9 December (a week today), it will reach Santa in time and you will receive a letter in response.
Don’t forget to include your name and address, so Santa knows how to reach you. And in your letter, let Santa know how you want him to reply, as he can understand and speak English, Welsh or even Braille.
For a reply in Braille please email santamail@royalmail.com or you can request a Braille reply by writing to Santa’s English or Welsh addresses.
If you want a reply in Welsh, send your letter to this address: Sion Corn, Ogof Sion, Corn Gwlad Y Ceirw, XM4 5HQ.
