There are more than 35,000 Priority Postboxes, as they are named, dotted around the country, with several here in Birmingham for you to use.
So, where can I find a Royal Mail Priority Postbox to send off my Covid-19 test and what ones are available to use in Birmingham? Here’s what we know.
Where can I find a Royal Mail Priority Postbox in Birmingham?
Firstly, before you begin, check what the posting instructions are on the PCR test you have received to see how they expect to collect your test and give you your result.
There are more than twenty Priority Postboxes around the city which you can use to post your test result, should you need to.
The first is located on Summer Lane , the second is on Water Street , and the third is on Caroline Street .
Graham Street is home to another Priority Postbox, as is Newhall Street and Margaret Street .
The seventh location is Edmund Street , while the eighth and ninth places to find a Priority Postbox are on Steelhouse Lane and Corporation Street .
If you can’t use them, there are more Priority Postboxes on Cambridge Street, Waterloo Street, Needless Alley, High Street, New Street, Station Street and at Norfolk House .
There are even more drop-off points on Cregoe Street, Hurst Street , and at the Gooch Street Post Office .
At the end of last year, ministers announced Royal Mail had decided to increase the number of its Priority Postboxes from 33,000 to more than 35,000.
That came as they confirmed more weekend collections on more than 15,000 of them, meaning Royal Mail staff would now pick up the post from some of them on a Sunday.
