Postman ‘brands Reform racists on leaflets he delivers’

Royal Mail confirmed it was aware of the incident and said it was investigating. A spokesman said: “We take our role in elections very seriously, and will investigate any incident or allegation of election material being defaced.

“We are aware of the video, and are conducting immediate enquiries. It’s our priority to ensure all candidate mail is delivered to a high level of service.”

Reform has been hit by a series of disclosures about candidates in recent weeks, including one who described Hitler as “brilliant” at using personality traits to “inspire people to action”.

Jack Aaron, a parliamentary candidate, said in 2022 that Hitler “was basically incoherent in his writing and rationale” but was “brilliant” at using specific personality traits.

Another candidate, Ian Gribbin, suggested that Britain should have stayed neutral in the Second World War and said women were the “sponging gender” and are “subsidised by men to merely breathe”. Mr Gribbin has apologised for the comments and said he withdrew them unreservedly.

It also emerged that a number of Reform candidates were Facebook friends of Gary Raikes, the leader of the fascist New British Union.

Mr Farage has threatened legal action against a vetting firm run by a former Tory adviser, which he has accused of “stitching up” the party over the revelations.

Reform UK was contacted for comment.
