Postman for Carlby, Careby, Holywell and Aunby near Bourne brings a smile with his ‘birthday cards’

Thoughtful postman Les Wheeler is bringing a smile to residents’ faces on his rounds – by sending them best wishes on their birthdays.

The postie, who often covers the Carlby, Careby, Holywell and Aunby route, has got to know lots of people over the past four years.

And when he gets an inkling they have something to celebrate, he often jots a note on a Royal Mail card to share his best wishes too.
