POULTER WEATHERS STORM TO LEAD BRITISH HOPES (Sporting Life)

England’s Ian Poulter and Ross Fisher led the British challenge at the 137th Open at Royal Birkdale after carding two-over-par 72s. That put them three shots behind joint leaders Graeme McDowell, of Northern Ireland, American Rocco Mediate and Australia’s Robert Allenby.
