Premier Andrew Furey has appointed a prominent businesswoman from this province to lead his team on economic recovery.
As Chair, Dame Moya Greene will help recruit others to the Premier’s team, as well as lead the charge on economic recovery by bringing forward ideas and opportunities to strengthen the province.
Originally from St. John’s, Greene worked in the public service in Ottawa for 17 years before moving to senior positions at Bombardier, CIBC, and TD Securities.
Her career took her to the top of Canada Post, where she was appointed as CEO in 2005. Then, in 2010, Greene became the first woman and non-British citizen to take over as CEO of the British postal service, Royal Mail. Greene retired from that position in 2018.
Premier Furey says he’s delighted to have Greene’s experience and credentials at the helm of the economic recovery team.
