Prince Harry and Meghan Markle choose ‘community’ as Instagram topic

Harry and Meghan have revealed that the community spirit they felt during their tour of South Africa left them feeling ‘deeply touched’.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who returned from their 10 day tour last week, took to Instagram today to reveal the Sussex Royal’s October Instagram theme.

Choosing ‘community’ as their topic of the month, Meghan, 38, and Harry, 35, shone the light on accounts that reflect togetherness to help promote the cause.

The pair followed 17 new accounts, including ‘The Black Mambas’ initiative, an all women’s anti-poaching organisation based in South Africa, and Green Light Trust, an environmental education Charity supporting people to rebuild and refocus their lives through the power of nature.

Elsewhere Bristol’s sex support charity ‘One25 Charity’, which saw the Duchess write messages of support on bananas in care packages when she visited them earlier this year, was also on the list.

Meanwhile charity TROtt riding, which provides therapeutic riding lessons for children and adults with disabilities, was also on the list.

Some of the charities followed by the Duke and Duchess have just 300 followers, proving the pair are keen to raise awareness for more little known charities.

Taking to Instagram with a collage of various pictures representing the charities, they wrote: ‘This month, in celebrating ‘community’, we asked you to share your favourite organisation from your neighborhood or around the world.
