It comes the morning after Prince Harry and Meghan attended the star-studded wedding of their designer friend Misha Nonoo in Rome.

The royal couple joined guests including Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice at the wedding, with Meghan opting to wear a £9,000 black Valentino dress.

Earlier this month, Prince Harry shared an excited Instagram post admitting he ‘can’t wait’ to return to his ‘second home’ with his wife and son.

The family will travel to South Africa on a royal tour this autumn – with the Duke of Sussex, 34, making additional trips to Angola, Malawi and Botswana alone.

It will be Harry and Meghan’s first royal tour as a family since welcoming baby Archie, now four months old, in May.

The couple shared a grid of nine colourful images featuring African wildlife, young children and locals dressed in traditional outfits.

The second question was also linked to Prince Harry

The couple also tested their followers knowledge about Princess Diana

In the other two questions followers got to prove their knowledge about the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy initiatives, left, and Princess Diana’s links, right, to Africa

‘Our team has helped create a meaningful programme that we’re so excited to share with you.

‘On a personal note, I can’t wait to introduce my wife and son to South Africa! We’ll see all of you very soon.’

Harry has travelled widely across Africa and jointly founded the charity Sentebale in 2006, to help support children affected by HIV, after spending a gap year in Lesotho.

Another Instagram post detailing the royal visit’s itinerary shows a picture of the smiling couple, followed by a photo of Harry’s late mother Princess Diana meeting landmine survivors in Angola in 1997.

More than one million landmines were planted during Angola’s 27-year civil war, which started immediately after independence in 1975.

Diana was killed in a car accident shortly after her trip, when Harry was 12 and his brother William – now second in line of succession to the throne – was 15.

He will also travel to Botswana and Malawi to promote conservation work and HIV prevention projects.

Meanwhile, mother and baby will remain in South Africa, where the Duchess will undertake various activities to raise awareness about women’s rights.

The couple, who had a trip to Australia, New Zealand, Tonga and Fiji last year, have kept a low profile since the birth of their son.

After the first five months of his life were spent largely shielded from the public eye, baby Archie will become one of the youngest royals to take part in an official visit.

Prince William’s son George, six, accompanied his parents to Australia and New Zealand when he was eight months old.

Harry and Meghan holidayed in Botswana together in 2016, only weeks after their first date.

‘I managed to persuade her to come and join me in Botswana. And we camped out with each other under the stars,’ Harry told the BBC during an interview with the couple after their engagement.

‘She came and joined me for five days out there, which was absolutely fantastic.’

Though they have since returned to Botswana as a couple, Meghan is not expected to accompany the Duke to Chobe National Park next week.

In South Africa, the family will meet Nobel Prize winner Desmond Tutu and Graca Machel, widow of the country’s first black president Nelson Mandela.

Halfway through the quiz, followers were asked which royal made a speech in South Africa on their 21st birthday. The answer was the Queen, who is pictured in Cape Town in 1947

Tutu and his wife have described their meeting with the Duke and Duchess next week as a ‘rare privilege and honour’.

Yesterday royal commentator Ingrid Seward claimed the Duke and Duchess ‘know their royal tour of Africa has to be a success’ to turn the tide of bad publicity.

She told Vanity Fair that Meghan and Harry feel the tour is a chance to redeem themselves, saying: ‘They and their aides know this tour has to be a success, and everything has been planned meticulously so there is no margin for error.’

Ms Seward also suggested little Archie, who has only been seen a handful of times since his birth in May will be ‘key player’ in this.

‘People will want to see baby Archie who could be the key player in this. I think if they show as a glimpse of Archie it could turn things around for the Sussexes.’

The couple have faced backlash over their use of private jets over the summer, flying to Italy on what is their ninth plane journey in just over six weeks.

The Sussexes attracted scorn last month for catching four private flights in 11 days to Ibiza and Nice, despite their vociferous campaigning on environmental issues.

There are about 20 commercial flights daily from London Gatwick, Heathrow, Luton, Southend, City and Stansted to Rome’s two airports, Fiumicino and Ciampino.

In order to ensure the royal tour of Africa runs smoothly, the couple will be travelling with their all-female team of staff.

They are said to have paid private for their new private secretary Fiona Mcilwham so she can learn the ins and outs from the departing Samantha Cohen, who is set to leave the household after 15 years of working for the royal family.

Seward suggested it was important the couple ‘clawed back some goodwill’ on the tour.

The couple have said they want as little fuss and formality as possible on the jam-pakced tour, which will see them travel across will go to Angola and Malawi and make a short working visit to Botswana within the 10 day trip.

A statement released by the palace in June said: ‘The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will undertake an official visit to South Africa this Autumn at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

‘In addition, The Duke of Sussex will visit Angola and Malawi at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.

‘His Royal Highness will also undertake a working visit to Botswana while in the region. Further details will be advised in due course.’

South Africa’s British High Commissioner Nigel Casey said the trip to the country would be a ‘short one’, adding: ‘That’s great news for us, and I predict it’s also good news for the South African economy.
