Prince Harry and Meghan Markle share a kiss as they show off their dance moves in sweet photos from their faux-royal tour of Colombia

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle put on a loved-up display throughout their four-day tour of Colombia, which concluded this weekend.

Now, recently-shared photographs of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have once again captured the Montecito-based couple showing their affection for one another during the faux-royal visit.

On Sunday, Harry, 39, and Meghan, 43, couldn’t help but showcase their dance moves as they visited Unidad Recreativa El Vallado in Cali, which also happens to be the Salsa capital of the world.

Joining Jóvenes en Cali, a youth organisation in the city, the couple enjoyed a steamy salsa dance, hugging and touching each other as they whirled around the dance floor.

In one photo, Meghan, looking typically chic in a white linen skirt which she paired with Princess Diana’s £17,800 Gold Tank Française Watch, reached out to grab Harry’s face with both hands, pulling him in for a kiss.

But the loved-up couple did also manage to keep their hands off each other long enough to dance with local residents.

Meghan, who luckily had ditched her heels for sandals, was photographed laughing and smiling as she swayed to the music.

The Sussexes were met with a warm welcome as locals clapped, cheered and waved at the couple who were accompanied by their usual security team.

Body language expert Judi James said Meghan’s smooch with Prince Harry at the end of their steamy dance in Colombia was ‘more than just a moment of Salsa-fuelled passion’.

Speaking to FEMAIL, she suggested the kiss was ‘bestowed’ upon the Duke by his wife as part of a ‘ritual’ which involved ‘Meghan’s hands placed tenderly around Harry’s face’.

She suggested the public display of affection, which sealed a series of very loved-up appearances from the couple during their Colombian tour, was a ‘powerful statement of gratitude’ from Meghan to Harry after the couple appeared to be a hit in the nation.

Judi said: ‘The hands put [Meghan] in control of the brief kiss but they are also an announcement gesture to her royal husband that she is only creating a sweet touch on the lips.

‘With the eyes of the world on them she might have remembered that royals traditionally only lip-kiss in public on their wedding day.’

She added: ‘This kiss looks like the frosting on the cake in terms of the ‘we’re in love’ narrative Meghan has been sending out on this very public tour, the topping-off of their PDAs at the end of a hectic-looking dance.

‘The Salsa can be known as a stirring dance with all the hip-swivels and the sexy ‘shines’ or breaks where each one of the couple gets to show off their moves to the other.

‘It’s clear to see that Harry and Meghan begin to lose some of their inhibitions out there on the dance floor, laughing with their mouths open and throwing themselves into the beat and so Meghan’s smacker looks like part of this sudden shucking off of the more regal-looking body language restrictions.

‘But it also looks like a reward ritual. Meghan’s brief kiss seems to have made a powerful statement of what looks like gratitude to her husband at the end of this tour. It’s a confirmation gesture that hints at ‘Thank you for the dance and thank you for coming on my tour with me’.’

The steamy smooch came at the conclusion of the couple’s tour during which they repeatedly swooned over each other and looked incredibly loved-up.

During their time in Colombia, Harry and Meghan often held hands, shared intimate moments together and displayed incredibly affectionate body language towards each other in displays that are at odds with how other members of the royal family behave during public engagements.

On Saturday, as the royal couple visited an historic village in Cartagena, Judi noted how Meghan took the lead in ‘boosting Prince Harry’s confidence by showing signals of ‘bonding, affection and ownership’.

She said Meghan and Harry looked deeply affectionate towards each other during their visit to the Afro-Caribbean village San Basilio de Palenque.

However, despite their obvious joy, Judi said Harry appeared ‘wary’ and ‘in protective mode’ at times.

In other moments the prince appeared to ‘mirror’ Meghan and gave a more relaxed ‘enjoyment’ display with a ‘wide smile on his face’.

During one particularly tender moment between the pair, Meghan pulled Harry’s hand close to her body while placing her free hand over his wrist. Judi said the act was a ‘tie-sign of bonding, ownership and affection’ from Meghan towards Harry.

Harry and Meghan stepped down from the working monarchy in 2020 and no longer travel at the request of the UK Government on official overseas royal visits.
