Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s son Archie Mountbatten-Windsor is growing ‘tufts of reddish hair’

Archie Mountbatten-Windsor is a ‘happy baby’ and growing ‘tufts of reddish hair’ just like his father Prince Harry, a royal source claims

  • Archie Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly growing ‘tufts of reddish hair’
  • The three-month-old baby is also described as ‘happy’ by a royal insider
  • Royal fans have been torn over whether he will take after Harry or Meghan

Archie Mountbatten-Windsor has inherited his father’s red hair, a royal source has claimed.

The colour of the young royal’s locks has been the source of public speculation ever since he was introduced to the world by Prince Harry, 34, and Meghan Markle, 38, at Windsor Castle just two days after his birth in May.

But now it appears royal fans might finally have their answer with a source telling People that – at least in his hair colour – Archie is taking after his flame-haired father.

Archie Mountbatten-Windsor has inherited his father’s red hair, a royal source claimed. The colour of his hair was the source of much speculation after photos of the baby’s christening were released last month. Pictured, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex with Archie

‘He has lovely, puffy little legs and tufts of reddish hair,’ a source said. ‘He’s really adorable.’ The royal insider also described Archie as a ‘happy baby’.

Archie is only three months old but he has already been photographed several times.

On each occasions enthusiastic social media users have dug out childhood snaps of Harry and Meghan to create side-by-side comparisons with their baby boy to try and work out whether he looks like his mother or father.

The Duke of Sussex’s own red hair was visible from a young age. The prince was a light strawberry blond as a baby before the colour became darker as he grew up.

The discussion reached fever pitch last month when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex released two photos from Archie’s private Windsor Castle christening.

Many royal supporters took to social media to say they could spot a hint of ginger hair on Archie’s head, but others were convinced the two-month-old looks more like Meghan.

One member of the public said it ‘looks like Archie is a ginger’ reacting to the snap while another said he looks just like Prince Harry.

More fans commented on his hair, with one saying he is ‘little ginger Archie’, while another said on Instagram ‘he has red hair, I can see it!’

A third said he looked ‘mischievous’ and ‘just like his daddy’ in the family photo.

The latest update on the royal baby comes days after it was reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took their son to Ibiza for a family holiday.

Local media has reported that, following Harry’s barefoot speech to Camp Google in Sicily, he and Megan had a week’s holiday in Ibiza.

It is understood they and baby Archie arrived by private jet on Tuesday August 6 and departed on Monday of this week, also by private jet, after staying in a luxury villa guarded by British and Spanish state security personnel.
