Prince Harry is poised to be banned from wearing a military uniform when he dishes out awards to forces heroes.
The Duke of Sussex will be stopped from donning the formal wear when he hands out gongs to vets.
Harry will instead have to wear black tie but can pin his four medals on his suit at the gala a day before Veterans Day.

Harry, aged 37, now lives in Los Angeles, in California, alongside wife Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, and their two kids, baby Lilibet Diana – known as Lili – and her older brother Archie.
The Duke of Sussex will be attending Salute to Freedom gala on warship in New York.
Despite serving two tours in Afghanistan, he was stripped of his honorary titles and will instead wear black tie at the gala, but can pin his four medals on the suit.

The museum hosting the event confirmed: “The Intrepid Museum’s Salute to Freedom gala recognizes extraordinary leadership and honors the brave men and women who serve in defense of our nation.”
Harry has endured a tough personal year, with the loss of his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, in April.
The 37 year old has also gone on the offensive against the royal family in a string of interviews.
