Prince Harry is ‘missing’ his British pals and is using their WhatsApp group chat to send them funny pictures and videos from Canada, a source has claimed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have settled in British Columbia, following their step back as senior members of the Royal Family last month – but Harry, 35, is reportedly making a point of being in close contact with old friends in the UK.

An insider told The Sun that the former royal is still a member of the group chat he’s been part of for ‘years’ and is keeping up with his friends ‘more than ever’ since he left the UK.

This comes after claims Harry ‘pushed aside’ some of his old friends after marrying Meghan Markle, 38, in May 2018.

‘Harry has been in WhatsApp Group with his mates for years and he uses that more than ever now to keep in touch and send pictures,’ the source claimed.

‘He doesn’t think being on the other side of the world means that he will lose touch with the people he has been mates with all his life

The source also claimed that Harry is constantly sending over funny pictures and videos from North America.

The Duke of Sussex and his wife and are poised to split their time between the UK and North America and the source claimed that Harry won’t forget his friends, despite being on ‘the other side of the world’.

Reports have emerged over recent years that suggest Harry and Meghan have slowly weakened ties with the prince’s old crowd of drinking buddies as they drew closer to the likes of Serena Williams and George and Amal Clooney .

An article published in the May 2019 issue of Tatler magazine claimed Harry had ‘banished’ childhood friend Mr Inskip, affectionately known as ‘Skippy’.

The article stated: ‘Hang out with the Clooney/Beckham/Soho House set and be assailed for being too Hollywood, for forcing your hen-pecked husband to abandon his old, country-set muckers – including Tom “Skippy” Inskip, the ultra-loyal, tight-lipped Harry pal, who, it’s said, advised Harry not to marry Meghan and has paid the price: banishment.’

A separate report in the Daily Express in October 2018 stated that Mr Inksip, along with PR guru Astrid Harbord, another former friend of Harry, had been ‘airbrushed out’.

It doesn’t seem that the pair will be returning to the UK anytime soon, as last month, it was reported that the couple are ‘hoping’ to spend their summer in Los Angeles.

It was also said that Meghan  has been ‘actively looking’ for a manager or agent for future projects – two years after giving up her acting career to Marry Harry.

Meghan quit her role in the US legal drama Suits in 2017 after becoming engaged to the Duke of Sussex, 35, and joining the Royal Family as a working member.

But the couple have since stepped back as senior royals as they ‘work to become financially independent’.
