Prince Harry seen fleeing London as he snubs Royal Family lunch offer after Coronation

Prince Harry was spotted fleeing London in a car as he prepared to head back to the US. Minutes after the Coronation ceremony ended at Westminster Abbey, Harry rushed off to reunite with wife Meghan Markle and children Archie and Lilibet.

It is now believed that Harry will board a flight back the States to celebrate his son Archie’s brithday. This means that he won’t attend a family lunch at Buckingham Palace – despite allegedly receiving an invitation.

Despite relations between Harry and the Royal Family being at an all-time low, Harry was determined to attend the ceremony with insiders saying he was aware the occasion will be “pretty much the most important day” of the King’s life.

Prince Harry arrived alone at Westminster Abbey and was sat with his cousins Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie and their husbands. They were sat three rows back from the front.

Organisers were reportedly keen to make sure there weren’t any public rows on the big day by keeping him separated, but he has reportedly been invited to a behind closed doors luncheon.

A source close to the Sussexes said Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland will be at the bash, along with Archie’s pre-school friends and some celebrity pals of the couple.

Among the celeb guests who may rock up are chat show legend Oprah Winfrey, tennis ace Serena Williams, presenter Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi.

“Harry’s going to make every effort to get back in time for Archie’s birthday,” the insider told Page Six.

“It’s going to be an intimate party, it’s not going to be like ‘My Super Sweet 16’ or Portia de Rossi’s 50th!”

Prince Harry’s dash back to the US means he is expected to miss the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle on Sunday. Lionel Ritchie is set to perform and was spotted attending Saturday’s Coronation.
