The Duke of Sussex is thought to find celebrations like Easter hard as he and his family miss out on royal family traditions and don’t get a chance to build a bond with their cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis
Prince Harry is said to be ‘upset’ as he and his children Archie and Lilibet miss out on family traditions at Easter as the royal rift continues.
The Easter celebrations for the Royal Family saw members come together, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Princess Anne as well as the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. Prince Harry, who previously attended when he was a prominent royal family member, will be ‘upset’ as he sees how he and his family miss out on the traditions according to one royal expert.
Royal expert and author Tom Quinn told the Mirror in an exclusive interview how missing out on Easter plans will have left Prince Harry saddened. He revealed: “The Royal Family traditionally meet on Easter Sunday at Windsor for a service in St George’s Chapel, followed by a brief walkabout and then a very traditional lunch of roast lamb.”

Harry and wife Meghan Markle stepped back from the royal family in 2020 and chose to exit the UK and live in Montecito, California. The couple now reside there with their two children however their relationship with the royal family remains estranged.
Quinn added: “Harry always enjoyed this tradition because he got to meet an adoring public for a short period. But what’s really going to upset Harry this year is that his children will miss out on the Easter egg hunt that takes place afterwards.”
The family tradition dates back to when Queen Victoria was on the throne, and Harry is thought to be feeling sad that his children will miss out on time with their cousins as Quinn explained: “Of course it would’ve given Archie and Lillibet a chance to get to know George, Charlotte and Louis. The family rift is going to prevent this and Harry will feel it keenly.”
