Prince Harry’s pals ‘stop inviting’ Meghan to dinner parties over couple’s PDAs

Prince Harry’s pals have reportedly stopped inviting Meghan Markle to their parties because of the couple’s public displays of affection at the dinner table.

It is claimed the former actress, 38, has ruffled feathers by insisting on sitting next to her husband, 34, at the fancy soirées, where a certain etiquette is expected to be followed.

This includes following a seating plan in which couples should not be placed together.

This is to stop any hand holding, kissing or lovey-dovey behaviour that may put fellow guests off their food.

They are not shy about getting close to each other in public

However according to the Mail on Sunday , smitten Meghan deemed the ‘rules’ as ‘exclusive’ and ‘traditional’ and has been determined to ignore them and sit next to Harry.

This has reportedly raised eyebrows among Harry’s society circle as they ‘roll their eyes’ at the Duchess’s ‘American ways’.

“Kinder members of society roll their eyes and whisper that the poor lamb can’t help being Americaine,” Charlotte Griffiths wrote in her Talk of the Town column for the publication.

“The less forgiving have just stopped inviting her to dinner.”

Kensington Palace declined to comment.

They can’t keep their hands off each other

Meghan and Harry are frequently photographed showing their affection for each other while out and about during public engagements.

The pair are not shy about kissing, holding hands, touching each other’s knees or putting an arm around the other – just like a normal loved-up couple.

Whereas Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William are more reserved and are rarely seen wrapping their arms around each other.

They refrain from touching and while there is no official rule restricting PDA, royal etiquette expert Myka Meier believes this is because they’re working as representatives of the British monarchy.

Myka told  People:  “Technically, the couple are working representatives of the British Monarchy.

They are just like any other loved-up couple

“The couple are likely to show very little PDA, if any, to remain professional during their designated roles abroad.”

However Harry and Meghan can’t seem to keep their hands off each other.

Embracing royals is usually off-limits for both security reasons and out of respect for their positions, but kind Meghan has been spotted dishing out hugs to fans.

Meanwhile, it has also been claimed that the ‘Fab Four’ split when Harry accused Prince William and sister-in-law Kate Middleton of failing to support Meghan after the royal wedding.

It allegedly led to a “showdown” which saw Harry read the “riot act” to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge after their children had gone to bed.

Sealed with a kiss!

Meghan kept a “stony silence” during Harry’s speech, which took William and Kate by surprise, it is claimed.

It is said the Cambridges assured Harry they were happy to offer more support to former Suits actress Meghan, and Kate even brought flowers to Harry and Meghan’s home the next day.

Some sources claim the two families are still drifting apart, the report added.

But a royal source told Mirror Online the claims were “nonsense”.

A spokesperson for the Royal Family declined to comment.

Meghan, meanwhile, is fighting to stop scammers using her name to sell diet pills online, according to an exclusive Sunday Mirror investigation.
