Prince Harry’s reconciliation with Royal Family facing major setback

Prince Harry recently met with his father, King Charles, for the first time in 19 months

Prince Harry’s potential reconciliation with the British Royal family seems to be further away than anticipated, as the only member who had previously shown a willingness to meet him is now showing “hesitations.”

The Duke of Sussex flew back to the UK a few weeks ago and during his trip, he met with his father, King Charles III, marking their first meeting in 19 months.

Their existing rift has deepened over their period of separation due to Prince Harry’s public revelations about his father’s health condition and his ongoing legal battle concerning his UK security arrangements.

Despite this, the King put these issues aside to meet with his son this month. However, it appears that his son’s recent actions have reignited doubts about reconciliation in his father’s mind.

After their meeting, a source close to the Sussexes suggested there was a “thawing of their relationship.”, reports the Mirror US.

An insider told the Daily Mail that Prince Harry, his wife Meghan Markle, and their children were “back into the royal fold,” even suggesting he might start making appearances on behalf of the royals again.

The source insisted he planned to visit the UK “four or five times a year” for “public events.”

However, a Royal insider has now clarified: “Whoever is behind them seems to have mistaken a brief tea and a slice of cake for the Treaty of Versailles.”

The source described the meeting as simply a modest “baby step” and nothing more than that.

The “‘entirely predictable and woefully inflated” revelation has heightened the King’s existing concerns about the reconciliation.

The insider revealed: “These syrupy briefings from supposed Sussex sources are precisely why The King and Royal family are so hesitant to embark on any road to rapprochement.

“If the intention is to encourage a rebuilding of trust and relationships, they serve the precise opposite effect,” they concluded.

Despite being a “forgiving man,” the King reportedly has no plans to disregard the rest of his family’s unwavering commitment simply to welcome Harry back.

He has opted to manage the matter as his late mother, Queen Elizabeth II, would have desired, meaning there cannot be “half-in, half-out” members of the working Royal family.

Indeed, he is purportedly making choices in close collaboration with his other son, Prince William, who has remained a reliable and devoted presence alongside him.

The source added: “The power and impact of the modern monarchy lies in the unshakeable bond between The King and the Prince of Wales, supported by other working members of the family.”
