Prince Philip’s hilarious way of ending Zoom calls with Royal Family

Prince Harry has shared the utterly brilliant way Prince Philip, his grandfather, ends Zoom calls with the family.

The Duke of Sussex appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden this week, for a wide-ranging interview.

It comes ahead of he and wife Meghan Markle’s upcoming confessional TV interview with Oprah Winfey.

During the chat on the US talk show, Harry went on an open top bus alongside Gavin and Stacey co-writer and Cats star Corden.

The pair discussed everything from Netflix drama the Crown to Harry’s relationship with Meghan, as well as their reasons for leaving the Royal Family.

Much has been written about Harry and Meghan’s decision to step down as senior royals for personal and financial freedom early last year – dubbed Megxit.

On his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh, Harry had a hilarious story to share with funnyman James, who was opposite to the Duke on the bus.

Speaking to James Corden on The Late Late Show, Harry was asked if the Queen used Zoom.

He replied: “Yes, both my grandparents do.

“We’ve Zoomed them a few times, they’ve seen Archie running around.”

Laughing, he explains: “My grandfather, instead of pressing leave meeting, he just goes [signals closing a laptop].

“It’s like ‘bye’ and as I’m pressing end to leave. It’s like, ‘okay, bye’.”

Damian Lewis is the bookie’s favourite to play the Duke of Sussex in future instalments of The Crown after the royal gave the seal of approval to his potential casting.
