Prince William & Kate ‘more in sync than ever’ after ‘tough year’ | Royal | News

The Prince and Princess of Wales are apparently “more in sync than ever” following a difficult year in the wake of Queen Elizabeth II’s death.

Since the Queen died on September 8, 2022, aged 96, Kate and William have taken on a range of new titles and responsibilities as they gear up for Prince William’s eventual reign.

One palace insider has revealed to US Weekly that despite the hardships of the past year, “William and Kate are more in sync than ever. They cherish what they have with each other. For them, family comes first, and it always will.”

“Her death hit them extremely hard,” the source said. “In many ways, it’s only now really sinking in that she’s gone.”

But despite the difficult loss, the insider said the challenges of grief have brought the couple closer together.

They said: “They’re in awe of each other. William tells anyone who will listen that he couldn’t do it without Kate, and she echoes that right back.”

The royal pair have also been channelling their personal relationship into their work, according to the palace source, and are feeling more energised by their new roles.

The insider said: “They want to keep working with Charles and Camilla and other members of The Firm to help lead the royal family into a more modern direction.”

But family remains key to the couple, who started off as university sweethearts during their time at St Andrew’s University in Scotland.

They now share three children together, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5.

All three recently started a new term at Lambrook School in Windsor, after the family moved from their Kensington Palace abode to Adelaide Cottage on the Windsor Castle estate grounds shortly before the death of the Queen.

“Adelaide feels like a more serene environment for them,” the insider claimed.

They went on to say the children have adapted well to the change and are “making new friends.”

The insider said: “William and Kate are determined to raise the kids in as normal an environment as possible.”

They also claimed the couple have a hands on approach to parenting, claiming the pair limit their screen time and get the kids to help with chores like washing the dishes or walking the dog.

“William and Kate are proud to serve and help people in any way they can,” says the source.

“But more than anything, they’re proud of their marriage and beautiful family.”
