Princess Eugenie is set to give newborn son middle name Stamp in honour of 19th century Governor of the Bank of England
- Princess Eugenie gave birth to baby boy on Tuesday at Portland Hospital
- The 30-year-old is yet to announce the name of the lad, 11th in line to the throne
- It has been suggested his middle name could be Stamp after his dad’s ancestor
Princess Eugenie is set to give her newborn son an unusual middle name – Stamp.
Although it has not been officially announced, it is expected that the baby will be given the name in honour of an ancestor of his father, Jack Brooksbank.
Stamp Brooksbank was a Governor of the Bank of England in the mid-18th Century and is Jack’s great-great-great-great-grandfather.
Eugenie, 30, the youngest daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, was seen being driven away from the private Portland Hospital in Westminster, Central London, by her 35-year-old husband on Friday.

The couple and their first child are staying at Frogmore Cottage, on the Queen’s Windsor estate, which was offered to them by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex when they left to live abroad.
The baby is 11th in line to the throne, but like his father he will not have a Royal title. The Mail on Sunday understands the couple did not know the baby’s gender before he was born.
A source said: ‘Eugenie and Jack are hoping to be able to introduce their new son to the Queen before they release his name and a picture.

‘It is tradition for members of the Royal Family to tell the Queen first, and given they are staying within the private confines of Windsor’s Home Park, Her Majesty could easily meet them out for a walk to meet the baby while she walks her dog.’
The boy, a ninth great-grandchild for the Queen and Prince Philip, was delivered at 8.55am on Tuesday, weighing 8 lb 1oz.
His parents broke with tradition by immediately sharing a black-and-white photograph on Eugenie’s Instagram account of them holding his tiny hand, accompanied by three blue hearts.
