Printed.com has launched a new service that allows customers to have their jobs delivered to local collection points, with some 20,000 UK pick-up locations available.
The online printer is part of the Newcastle-headquartered Printed Group of companies, which had sales of just over £21m in its most recent accounts.
Printed.com’s new “Ship to Pick-up Point” or “Ship to Shop” service has been fully integrated with its web-to-print platform.
Operations director Nicola Carney said it was an accessible and dependable option for customers, with particular appeal for personal customers and small businesses.
She said: “The launch of our Ship to Pick-up Point service addresses the increasing demand for flexibility, particularly among our growing base of direct-to-consumer businesses, independent businesses and individual customers like brides and grooms.
“This initiative underscores our dedication to innovation and exceeding customer expectations. We’re thrilled to see the positive impact this service will have on both businesses and individuals.”
Printed.com cited a number of other benefits including a reduction in delivery trucks through order consolidation, alongside a 94% first time delivery rate.
Pricing was described as comparable with its existing Next Day service.
Printed.com has partnered with HubBox on the new service, with delivery carried out via DPD. The initial focus is on mainland UK customers although this could be expanded to Europe, which takes the number of collection points to more than 30,000.
