Public notices: Get Golfing seek premises licence for Winter Hill Golf Club – Photo 1 of 1

This week’s public notices include an application from specialist golf charity, Get Golfing, for a premises licence at Winter Hill Golf Club.

Back in April, the John Lewis Partnership announced it had sold the Cookham golf club to Safegolf Ltd.

This came as a blow to members of Maidenhead Golf Club (MGC) who had hoped to relocate to the Winter Hill site.

MGC has been seeking a new home after agreeing a deal to surrender its lease to Windsor and Maidenhead council on its 132-acre Shoppenhangers Road golf course to enable hundreds of homes to be built there.

Safegolf has allowed Get Golfing to run the Winter Hill site on a long-term lease.

Get Golfing’s application for a premises licence seeks permission to sell alcohol on and off the premises from 10am to midnight, Monday to Sunday.

It also seeks permission to sell alcohol on the golf course from 10am to 8pm, Monday to Sunday.

If approved, the premises licence will also allow Get Golfing to operate the site from 7am to 12.30am on a daily basis.

Any representations on the application can be made by writing to Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, Licensing Team, Town Hall, St Ives Road, Maidenhead, SL6 1RF.

Alternatively, send an email to licensing@rbwm.gov .uk by Tuesday October 3.

Licensing

Legoland has applied for a premises licence for a new adventure golf attraction at its resort in Windsor.

The theme park announced last month it is planning to open four Lego-themed golf courses in October. The application for a premises licence includes the sale of alcohol from 9am to 10.30pm, Monday to Sunday.

If approved, the resort would have permission to run indoor sporting activities at the site from 9am to 10.30pm, seven days a week.
