Queen’s ‘grave concerns’ about Kate Middleton shared by royal insider

The Queen’s “grave concerns” about Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, have been revealed by a new royal expert’s book.

The royal insider spoke out about Her Majesty’s reservations about Prince William’s future wife.

William and Kate tied the knot in 2011, before having three kids together – eight year old Prince George, their eldest, and his two siblings Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Katie Nicholl wrote in her book, The Making of a Royal Romance: “Privately she had grave concerns and believed that Kate needed to have a job and an identity in her own right before an engagement was announced.”

Royal correspondent Phil Dampier told the Express in 2018: “Kate was William’s girlfriend for eight or nine years before they got engaged and got married.

“There was a phase where she appeared to be doing very little really.”

Mr Dampier added: “I think she had a fairly long entrance to the Royal family.”

William and Kate have been married a decade and their relationship continues to go from strength to strength. The pair met at university while Wills was studying there.

The pair have been engaging in more royal engagements recently, and last week met a cute puppy as they stepped out to meet members of the public.
