R B Woodall, Waberthwaite, near Millom, given Royal Warrant

A ninth-generation family butcher near Millom has been given further royal recognition.

R B Woodall, in the village of Waberthwaite, has been awarded the Royal Warrant, a mark of recognition of those who have supplied goods or services to the Households of Her Majesty The Queen or HRH The Prince of Wales for at least five years, and who have an ongoing trading arrangement.

R B Woodall is listed as being suppliers of “Suppliers of Traditional Cumberland Bacon” to The Queen, and they posted on social  media:

“Here at R B Woodall we are honoured to have been awarded the Royal warrant, yet again for a further three years.

“Supplying Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the second and the Royal Family with our amazing products.”

The current 7th, 8th ad 9th generations that run R B Woodall are renowned for using the same recipe that their ancestors did 185 years ago for their famous Cumberland sausage.
