Reading and Berkshire legal community raise  £11,100 for charity

The Reading and Berkshire legal community came together at 4:30pm on Tuesday, September 19 to raise money for local free legal advice services.

Known as the Reading Legal Walk, the event raised thousands for 30 organisations and over 200 people and was led by HHJ Emma Nott and Simon Muir the High Sheriff.

A hundred per cent of the funds raised are to go to supporting the most vulnerable people in the Reading community to access life-changing free legal support.

Simon Muir, The High Sheriff of the Royal County of Berkshire & HHJ Emma Nott said: “Thank you for a huge turnout at the Reading Legal Walk, with hundreds of you coming to Forbury Gardens.

“Together, we have raised over £11,100 for Age UK Reading, Citizens Advice Reading, FLAG DV, Launchpad and Refugee Support Group.”
