Regina “the Queen” Fleming Runs the NYC Marathon to Support GSOFCT

Regina “the Queen” Fleming will be running The New York Marathon on November 3rd, 2024 to Support the Girl Scouts of Connecticut!!

Regina Fleming, a powerhouse in both photography and fitness, is taking on a new mission close to her heart: running to raise funds for the Girl Scouts of Connecticut. Regina, a former Girl Scout, says “I loved earning my badges, making friends and it was the beginning of learning leadership, creativity and friendship.”

Regina, a marathon runner with 15 marathons, over 100 races, and a coveted Abbott World Marathon Majors Six Star Finisher medal under her belt, Regina is using her love for running to inspire young girls and provide them with opportunities to build courage, confidence, character, and lifelong friendships through the Girl Scouts.

Fleming’s journey into running began unexpectedly when she signed up for what she thought was a simple fun run, only to find out it was a half marathon! After training for just 10 days, she finished that race and discovered her passion for distance running. “Once they put that medal around my neck, that was it,” she recalled.

That moment transformed her from a novice into a determined athlete, highlighted as one of the 10 of 10,000 Six Star World Marathoners finishers and entered into the Guinness World Records in 2023 for her completion of the Tokyo. Now, she’s pushing herself once again, but this time, it’s for a bigger cause.

Support Regina Fleming in her race to empower the next generation of leaders through the Girl Scouts of Connecticut. Every step she takes is a stride toward a brighter future for these young girls. Together, we can ensure that the Girl Scouts continue to provide transformative experiences for girls everywhere—one mile at a time!
