Revenue and pre-tax profits have grown at a provider of healthcare services across the UK and Ireland during a year in which it won several major contracts.

Totally plc has reported pre-tax profits of £1.7m for the year to 31 March 2023, up from £1.2m in 2022.

Revenue jumped from £127.3m to £135.6m over the same period.

The Derby-headquartered company noted that it ensured two million patients were able to access appropriate urgent care services and treated approximately 120,000 patients from elective care waiting lists.

It added that the business fully mobilised NHS England’s Single Virtual Contact Centre model, following a contract win for NHS 111 resilience provision worth about £10m.

Totally also retendered and mobilised a five-year contract for the provision of two urgent treatment centres in Bromley.

Additionally, several new contracts were awarded to Energy Fitness Professionals for corporate wellbeing services, including Adidas and the expansion of existing long-term contract with Royal Mail.

A statement from chief executive Wendy Lawrence said: “In line with our buy and build strategy, we remain acquisitive where opportunities enhance our ability to deliver increased shareholder returns and broaden services for commissioners.

“In the year ahead, we will remain focused on making further progress with our growth strategy whilst ensuring we maintain the delivery of high-quality services and manage our costs. We expect the coming year to be challenging as the NHS continues to operate in crisis and faces ever-increasing demand across all services.

“The board remains very confident in that the number of opportunities for the company continue to grow and we are ready and prepared to further support the NHS as it continues to focus on the recovery and embedding of sustainable services able to cope with continuing higher levels of demand and the reduction of waiting times and waiting lists.”
