Motorists are being advised to plan journeys in advance over the coming week as roadworks are set to begin on busy routes in Blackburn and Darwen.
The roadworks are set to commence on Monday (18 September) at a number of sites in the borough.
The Blackburn with Darwen Council Roads team said: “Please bear in mind that these are planned roadworks only for which permit applications to carry out works have been received, and do not include any deemed urgent or emergency works.
“Due to lead-in periods for minor works, there may be additional works not on this list which start next week.
“The lead-in period for minor works (up to three days duration) is three working days, so for example, a Utility Company wanting to start work on Thursday next week would apply on Monday.”
Roadworks are set for:
Bank Top, opposite St Lukes Church (Monday September 18-20) – Virgin Media
Morecambe Road, at the junction of Fishmoor Drive (Tuesday 19 September to 21 September) – BRSK Internet
Sunnyhurst Lane, Darwen Monday 18 September to 11 November) – Cadent Gas mains replacement
Blackburn Road, Darwen opposite Pitville Street (21 September) – United Utilities
