Rolling Meadows post office closes

After nearly 50 years the Rolling Meadows post office on Kirchoff Road closes for good on Friday afternoon due to a leasing dispute with the shopping center owner. Post office employees said the final afternoon was quiet and sad a as a few regular customers came in to say goodbye after a letter writing campaign to save the post office failed.
