When Jack Shantz returned from the Korean Conflict in 1957, after serving in the Air Force’s Judge Advocate General’s Office in Japan , he went to work for the law firm of Dell, Heber & Leenhouts. Malcolm Heber was a member of the Royal Oak Rotary Club and invited the young lawyer to speak to the club about his experiences in Japan .
