Royal Bank of Canada Will Write Down C$855 Million (Update3) (Bloomberg.com)

May 14 (Bloomberg) — Royal Bank of Canada , the country’s largest lender, will take additional writedowns of about C$855 million ($854 million) on its debt investments, the second- biggest writedown recorded by a Canadian bank since the credit crisis began last year.
