Royal Bank profit falls 17% (The Globe and Mail)

Royal Bank of Canada , this country’s largest bank, reported a 17 per cent drop in first-quarter profits on Friday to $1.245-billion. The cash earnings of 97 cents per share fell short of analyst forecasts of $1.06 per share.
