Queen Letizia couldn’t contain her glee as she hugged and welcomed Queen Rania of Jordan to Madrid.
The European monarch, 50, was delighted, chatting up a storm with the fellow queen, 52, – as the Jordanian royal couple and their son are on an official visit to Spain to strengthen bilateral ties between the two countries.
Mother-of-two Letizia was the picture of summer style in a Diego Estrada floral midi dress that made for the perfect stylish silhouette, adorned with warm tones of red, peach and periwinkle blue.
She finished her colourful look off with hot pink stilettos from her favourite Carolina Herrera, adding a touch of glitz with €1,565 (£1412.14) Gold & Roses earrings.
Letizia wore a fun peachy make-up look for the sunny weather, and styled her light brown tresses in a straight style.

Elsewhere Rania was sophisticated as ever in an elegant black outfit with embellishment.
Her embroidered maxi-skirt was decorated with butterfly motifs across the bodice, whilst a classic long-sleeve top included chic neckline detailing.
The queen added a pop of warmth in colourful patterned heels.
Her look oozed glamour with a classy make-up look and highlighted blonde hair styled with tons of volume.
Both appeared in high spirits during a visit to the National Heritage Educational Workshop in Madrid, smiling and chatting as they attended the engagement.
During their visit, Letizia and Rania saw the talents of students and teachers who were doing restoration work on furniture, book covers and historical manuscripts.
The workshops aim to provide public-employment training programmes for people – through cultural heritage restoration practices – and encourage interest and participation in the crafts.
The royals also got a glimpse of workshops on gardening, upholstery and saddlery amongst others.

And it’s been a busy week for Letizia, who last week looked chic despite a long-haul flight as she landed in Cartagena, Colombia.
The Spanish Queen dropped her usual glamour for functional clothing as she enjoyed a three-day tour of the Spanish-speaking nation in South America.
She donned a white linen shirt, beige cargo pants, walking boots and a red gilet from Spanish International Cooperation Agency AECID as she stepped off the plane to greet Colombia’s First Lady Veronica Alcocer.
Her hair, which was worn down, blew in the sharp winds on the airport’s concourse as she chatted to the First Lady.
