As a working royal, Kate Middleton is on her feet a lot. Despite constantly being on the move visiting different areas of the country, meeting Brits from all sorts of backgrounds and taking part in various events, the Duchess of Cambridge always seems to look composed.
Often one of the key features of Kate’s outfits when she’s out and about, is a pair of high heels, with many wondering how the busy royal manages to walk around for hours wearing the famously uncomfortable shoe. For people who know just how hard it is to march around all day in high heels, the Princess of Wales might have a nifty hack.
According to Hello!, Kate often buys her shoes in different sizes as sizing can fluctuate between brands and European sizing can often come up smaller than British or American brands.

“She buys her heels in two different sizes, between a 38.5 and a 39 (or a 5.5 and a 6 in British sizing),” revealed Hello! “No doubt Kate does this for comfort reasons and it seems to vary depending on the brand, her Jimmy Choo ‘Georgia’ navy pumps and her red carpet ‘Vamp’ strappy sandals are in a 38.5. She even goes down to a size 38 in Rupert Sanderson designs – the brand advises sizing down on its website”.
The Duchess has been photographed wearing different-sized heels on a number of occasions often seen wearing either 38 or 39-size shoes. The clever trick means that Kate is less likely to painful rubbing or shoes that are too tight.

One person commented on a video of the royal as she traversed the muddy patch, saying: “Kate is a pro in heels, no problem for her.”
