Prince Harry: Expert says royal may be fighting ‘losing battle’
Harry is said to be determined to keep his forces appointments but the Queen’s view that he cannot have a “one foot in, one foot out” approach to royal duties has reportedly not changed. Conservative commentator Darren Grimes hit out at the Duke of Sussex in a post on Twitter.
He blasted: “Prince Harry wants to keep his honorary military titles, despite leaving the country and his duty to Queen & Country for Wokery & Whackery.
“It displays extraordinary arrogance to assume you can keep your privileges after trading it all in for Spotify & Netflix deals in Hollywood.”
Harry, who was in the Army for 10 years, is living in an £11million mansion in California after quitting royal duties with Meghan Markle last March.
The Megxit arrangements are due to be reviewed after one year, when the issue of the Duke’s honorary military titles – including Captain General of the Royal Marines – will need to be dealt with.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have quit royal duties for a new life in America
It is thought the 12-month period was to leave a way back for Harry and former actress Meghan to the royal fold.
But this looks unlikely as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex push ahead with new careers in America which include lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify.
The review will have to decide what happens to Harry’s military titles if he is stripped of them.

Meghan Markle and Archie will not join Prince Harry when he returns to the UK this summer for a number of key events, according to a royal expert.
Royal author Omid Scobie told OK! magazine: “Neither Meghan nor Harry have been vaccinated and travel plans are still very much up in the air.
“Meghan wouldn’t want to be away from Archie and it would be very tricky to factor a small child into their travels with all the restrictions that could potentially be in place.
“It seems easier at this moment for Harry to do the trip solo. But it is not Meghan’s intention to snub the family. If Covid wasn’t a factor, she would be there.”
