Royal Family: Prince Harry court blow as pals ‘not all tight lipped’ | Royal | News

Prince Harry’s friends would give information to journalists a former newspaper editor has told the High Court. Katie Nicholl was speaking at a privacy case brought by the Duke of Sussex and six other public figures against the Mail on Sunday and The Daily Mail.

Associated Newspapers, publisher of both titles, denies allegations its journalists commissioned private detectives to hack voicemails, intercept landline calls and ‘blag’ their private information.

The Duke of Sussex’s legal team has claimed that Harry’s friends were unlikely to provide information to journalists, a claim disputed by Ms Nicholl.

The journalist told the court: “I didn’t need to sit at home using unlawful information gathering because I had very good sources close to Prince Harry who were talking to me.”

She added: “They were not all tight-lipped. They certainly were not. I had very good sources in the inner circle.”
