Royal Fan Shares Glimpse of Personally-Signed Thank-You Note from Camilla Parker Bowles

It’s not every day that you get mail from a royal, but if we did, we would be sure to tell everyone about it. And that was exactly what royal follower @ChristinsQueens did on Twitter, when she received a special piece of correspondence from none other than Camilla Parker Bowles.

The Duchess of Cornwall, who turned 75 years old last month, apparently sent out letters of thanks to a few lucky royal fans who wished her well on her birthday. Christin was one of these recipients and she shared a picture of the letter to her Twitter. She also pointed out the two lines from Parker Bowles, writing, “My first ever ‘royal double’ reply from the Duchess of Cornwall.”

In her letter, the Duchess of Cornwall said, “Thank you for your birthday message.” The royal also included a cheeky line about her age, adding, “I can’t quite believe that I’ve reached three quarters of a century!” At the bottom of the note, Parker Bowles even personally signed it.

The photo included with the letter was snapped by Peter Nicholls, and it was taken last November, when Parker Bowles visited the Princess Taghreed Secondary Girls School during a trip to Jordan with her husband, Prince Charles.

This wasn’t the only way the Duchess of Cornwall showed her gratitude for all the love she received on her birthday. In mid-July, Parker Bowles shared a new portrait on the day of her bday and the caption said, “Thank you for all your kind messages and well wishes on The Duchess of Cornwall’s 75th birthday today!”

We love getting a glimpse at letters from the royal family.
