Royal fans joke Prince William has been ‘done dirty’ by £40 Christmas decoration that showcases his bald spot and receding hairline

Royal fans have been left divided over a Christmas decoration of Prince William – with some joking the future King has been ‘done dirty’.

The Prince of Wales, 42, is the subject of an ornament created by Cody Foster and Co, a vintage collectibles company based in Nebraska.

The £40 decoration shows the royal wearing his Irish Guards uniform, which the father-of-three frequently wears for Buckingham Palace appearances.

However, the designers – who have also released decorations of the King, Queen and Princess of Wales – also went as far as to include William’s bald spot.

Earlier this month, Katie Hiscock, a Brit who now lives in Tokyo, stumbled upon the decoration, which has a menacing toothy grin, in a store and proceeded to film a TikTok.

Showing the decoration from all angles, she joked: ‘They did Prince William dirty with this Christmas decoration’.

The five-second clip has amassed over 1.5m views since it was uploaded last week and sparked fierce debate in the comments.

While some believed the ornament’s hairline was ‘accurate’, others argued the design did not do the Prince justice.

British woman, Kate Hiscock, who now lives in Tokyo, came across the decorations in a store and wrote: ‘They did Prince William dirty with this Christmas decoration’

One wrote: ‘Did they do him dirty, or did they do him accurate?’

Another added: ‘Isn’t that what he looks like though?’

A third said: ‘How did they do him dirty when that’s literally how his head looks?’

A fourth commented: ‘I have mixed feelings. They could have left the bald spot out, but also, that’s what he looks like.’

Jumping to the Prince of Wales’ defence, one supporter wrote: ‘Gone a bit harsh on William’s hair.’

A second chimed in with: ‘The disrespect!’

What’s more, the collection includes Princess of Wales, King Charles and Queen Camilla designs.

The Princess of Wales’ Christmas bauble – which is £25 from Fenwick – is based on the royal’s appearance at King Charles’ first State Banquet at Buckingham Palace in November 2022.

For the occasion, the Princess wore a gem embellished white dress from her favoured designer Jenny Packham for the occasion.

Kate swept her hair into an intricate up-do to showcase the Cambridge Lover’s Knot, which was a wedding gift to Princess Diana, paired with diamond and pearl drop earrings that also once belonged to her late mother-in-law, and wore a blue sash as well as the Royal Family Order, made up of a portrait of the Queen on a yellow ribbon. All of these details have been recreated on the decoration.

King Charles’ decoration sees the royal in his white and purple Coronation robes and Coronation crown, which was adorned with diamonds and rubies.

The designers also recreated Queen Camilla’s Coronation outfit, which consisted of a Bruce Oldfield couture gown and Queen Mary’s Crown, which was made by Garrard & Co for Mary of Teck in 1911.

However, this isn’t the first time the Prince William decoration has caught social media users’ attention.

Last year, the £40 ornament was slammed by royal fans who said it looked nothing like the Prince of Wales.

The bizarre holiday ornament sits at around five inches tall and cuts off just below the royal’s chest and elbows.

The ornament has invoked harsh criticism from many who have made no bones about voicing it.

‘These are frightening’ said one.

Another person wrote: ‘I’m glad I’m not famous and people don’t make me into merchandise.’

‘Why is his hair glittery?’ asked another.
